Open Cell (Sound Barrier) spray foam is commonly used for sound proofing and insulating home theater rooms and other interior walls. Open cell foam has a higher expansion rate and each kit yeilds a higher volume. Open Cell is a low density (0.75 lb/ft³) foam that cures to "spongy" in about 3 minutes.
